„Breakup” exhibition is first in series of temporary exhibitions with a view to presenting research conducted by Krakow’s scientists. In this exposition you can see detectors which are used by nuclear physicists to study disintegration of deuteron (a nucleus composed of one proton and one neutron). The aim of this research is to increase understanding of interaction between elementary components of matter. Collected knowledge lets us produce energy in nuclear power plants, efficaciously diagnose and treat people, disinfect food. What can we do with information we collect currently? Maybe some of you would like to participate in such research? Visiting the exhibition could be the first step along the way. To help you understand the issue, a game in flash technology was specially created.

Opening of exhibition:
5th December, 2014, 18:00
Muzeum Inżynierii Miejskiej in Krakow

The exhibition will be available for visitors to March 22, 2015.
