History of mobile devices

Modern technology is associated with mobility. The ubiquitous smartphones and tablets have become permanent parts of our lives and for most of us it is difficult to imagine even one day without them. Since the majority of our society has come into contact with mobile devices over the last decade, the misconception that they are a new concept is still alive today. Nothing more misleading! Manufacturers of computer equipment in the 1980s began to experiment with portable constructions, and in the next decade simplified pocket-size computers appeared on the market. Due to their high price, the group of their users was limited to business people, but they helped to prepare the ground for today's mobile devices.

At the next exhibition from the series Technological Classics we will present the most interesting mobile devices from our collections. They will include such iconic devices as Apple Newton OMP or Nokia 9000 Communicator.
